Born Rashad Oliver on May 27th, 1983, Illanoise the only boy of 4 siblings was raised in the Upstate city of Rochester, New York.

He was introduced to Hip Hop through his mother during the golden age era of rap in the late 80’s.

She would often play records of Eric B and Rakim, Public Enemy, LL Cool J and many others.

It wouldn’t be until later on that he would discover his gift to put words together and paint cinematic images

of the poverty stricken environment from which he came. Being a gemini plays into his versatility and creativeness

as a artist, seemingly some of hip hop’s biggest stars were also of the same sign.(Tupac, Biggie, Ice Cube, etc).

Devoted to bringing lyrics back to the forefront of the game, Illanoise style would be described as Nas street picture painting,

meets Jadakiss’s metaphors and wordplay, mixed with the consciousness and political prowness of the late great Tupac Shakur.

His introduction to the underground mixtape circuit would come in 2004 after meeting DJ  P Cutta well known for his streetwars

mixtape series. Illanoise would go on to guest appear on numerous mixtapes which created a following on the underground scene.

Such a following that he would be the only unsigned artist to appear on Lil Wanye’s mixtape the Color Of Money hosted by Mick Boogie.

Illanoise was also featured in two issues of the Don Diva a well known street magazine as well as the Hip Hop Weekly. Illanoise prides

himself on being a great song writer with many different ranges whether it be a r and b track, hardcore track, or melodic track. He has

worked with many industry artists including Raheem Devaughn, Red Cafe, Smif N Wesson, Lord Jamar, Rock City, Jr Writer of Dip Set

Currency, and Trey Williams. Growing up listening to a lot of artist from queens(Nas, Mobb Deep, C.N.N, Kool G Rap) helped shaped his

raw uncut eastcoast style, balanced with his old soul and love for r and b music he plays both sides of the fence extremely well. In 2007

Illanoise released Cinematic a epic mixtape breaking down the storylines of classic movies hosted by none other than Aphlliates Dj Drama.

With the east coast on it’s last leg Illanoise is just the new blood the  game needs to breathe some refreshing air back in it. In 2009 Illanoise

formed Puttin-N-Work Entertainment with longtime partner and manager Johnnie Gray (Smooth) and is  looking for a label to call home.
